The MRABA is a binding agreement that a potential new member signs when ranking chapters after preference round. At this point, a PNM has up to two chapters left on her schedule. When signing it, a PNM promises to accept a bid from any chapter she lists on the MRABA. From here, she has three options:
1. Decide to withdraw from recruitment
This means the PNM will not receive a bid from any chapter.
2. Intentional Single Preference
This means a PNM has two chapters left and intentionally. only lists one.
A PNM may receive a bid from the chapter they intentionally single preference, or they may not.
3. Maximizing Options
This means a PNM is increasing their odds of getting a bid by listing both chapters in preferred order.
This also means a PNM would be happy to receive a bid from either her first or second choice chapter.
